I seem to have done so many different things in my life that sometimes it is difficult to describe myself to myself! LOL! I used to think this was a ‘bad’ thing…but I’ve now grown to realize that this, in fact, is a blessing. My multi-faceted background and variety of interests and experiences is the foundation of who I am ….
I am who I am because of my journey in this lifetime….and this is what I bring to my work today…
I have been very fortunate to have travelled A LOT! I worked on cruise ships for 8 years and have seen so many wonderful, exotic and interesting places and cultures. I still love to travel whenever I get the opportunity, but am now into visiting places of cultural and historical interest since one of my loves is ancient history and archaeological sites (possibly left over from another lifetime!!)
I am ultimately a designer by nature. My eye seeks out the beauty, harmony and balance in my surroundings…I like to stop and smell the flowers, to feel the breeze against my skin, the wind to ruffle up my hair, the sun to warm my soul, to listen to the surf and the birds singing their song…..
My journey of self-discovery has opened my heart to what is truly important in my life amongst which are a sense of integrity, living authentically, learning to love myself and respecting and cultivating my need for unlimited, creative expression and experimentation, living with love amongst family and friends….
My inspiration comes from my colorful background – I was born in London to Greek and Russian parents – and I have lived both in England and Greece. Nature, art, folklore and archaeology are an endless source of inspiration to me as well as my extensive travels all over the world taking in various cultures, sights and local color and design.
I studied interior design with the Sheffield School of Interior Design in Íew York and with Rhodec International in Great Britain. I’m basically a self-taught artist with the exception of 2 3-month courses in art and pottery taught by my wonderful teacher and mentor Aggeliki Tseva.
Life is a never ending process of learning and absorbing experiences like a sponge, which I like to squeeze out into my designs and creations.
I most warmly welcome you to my colorful world!
